Job Description

You will support the team on a range of projects for high-profile clients in entertainment, media, kids & family,  health & wellbeing and not-for-profit, as well as supporting the Founder and Managing Director as a Personal Assistant to help with a variety of administrative tasks.
 
Responsibilities:
 
As a PR Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintaining office systems, calendars and media lists
  • Media monitoring and media coverage reports
  • Participating in brainstorms and planning meetings
  • Assisting in the organising and execution of project events, shoots, junkets and PR activities
  • Researching new contacts and feature ideas for client projects
  • Conducting research to support projects and new business development 
  • Preparing briefings, presentations and reports
  • Booking and liaising with suppliers
  • Assisting with the company social media accounts
  • Organising meetings and managing diaries of Managing Director and Founder
  • Arranging couriers, travel and accommodation
  • General office administrative duties
  • Administrative tasks on behalf of the Managing Director including ad-hoc personal assistance
 
Requirements:
  • Experience in the consumer PR industry (1 year of experience preferred)
  • Understanding of PR and communications practice
  • Outstanding organisational skills including working with deadlines and the ability to prioritise
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to be proactive and use initiative
  • Excellent writing skills for a variety of platforms and audiences, with very good spelling and grammar
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately with colleagues, suppliers and others at all levels
  • Discretion and trustworthiness along with tact and diplomacy
  • Hard working and self-motivated
  • Computer savvy including working knowledge of Microsoft and Apple programmes and systems
  • Proven experience with social media platforms
  • Keen interest in following industry trends
  • High standards when it comes to spelling, grammar and punctuation

Note this is a fixed term contract rather than permanent - on a rolling contract basis. You will be expected to work a 4 day week; Monday-Thursday.
