This international consultancy firm works with over 70 different agencies in 65 countries, providing relationship intelligence (through unbiased client feedback, intelligent relationship tools and coaching) which enables agencies to better understand and manage their clients.

The IT team support their IT systems and helping to develop bespoke internal ones. These systems enable the majority of the company's day-to-day operations, including automated analysis and reporting of large data sets. Their clients make critical business decisions based on the data they give them, so it is vital that these systems are secure, reliable and deliver compelling insight to support this. They're currently undertaking a large-scale agile IT initiative to enable future business growth and diversification, transforming their suite of internal systems. 

They are now looking for a proactive Business Analyst and Agile Coach to join the team. Reporting to the IT Business Partner, the Business Analyst will support Product Owner discussions with their business teams and facilitate Agile IT development using a variety of techniques (user stories, sketches, simple wireframes and other approaches). The Business Analyst will also work across the wider team to assist in resolving blockers, coordinate and facilitate the appropriate business and technical discussions, support communications and maintain relevant documentation. They will bring additional Agile project experience into the team and be able to act in an 'Agile Coach' capacity in support of their ongoing work.

 

Job Description

Key responsibilities:
  • Support to the Product Owner (within the Agile delivery model)
  • Facilitate and support the core concepts and practices of SCRUM in each Sprint with the wider team
  • Undertake requirements discussions with business teams, gradually assuming more responsibility as experience grows
  • Create and refine user stories for the product backlog
  • Create simple wireframes (working with guidance and support from the UX lead)
  • Validate completed development work against user stories and agreed success criteria
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (working with the QA lead)
  • Attendance and support at sprint meetings: e.g. backlog refinement, product demos, planning and retrospectives
  • Support new product development initiatives for CRC
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions across the team to improve processes
  • Understand that continuous learning is part of what it is to be a business analyst, and taking time to improve your skills (with the support of the company) and share with your colleagues
  • Support regular and varied internal communications around IT initiatives
Skills:
  • Familiarity with IT development, Agile methodology (ideally SCRUM and Lean), business requirements, user stories, UX design, wireframing, testing methods
  • Has Scrum Master experience and/or has desire and aptitude to become a trained Scrum Master
  • IT or Engineering graduate or equivalent experience of the above gained on IT projects
  • People skills – confident in discussions with the business team and developers
  • Self-organised – plans ahead and prepares
  • Produces clear, detailed written communications, able to distil complexity
  • Ability to work to and deliver to deadlines
  • Seeking to engage in continuing professional development
