Job Description
This performance tech start-up is on a mission to change how strength is measured. Their smart, portable tracking tools work with the equipment people already use, combining sensors and real-time data to bring structure and insight into every rep.
Working with performance coaches, physios and academic institutions, they've built a platform that turns strength training into something measurable, trackable and motivating - whether it's for high-performance sport, rehab or personal fitness.
Now they're looking to bring their story to a much wider audience, and need a driven Sales Development Rep to help make that happen!
The Role - A proactive and high-energy SDR is needed to support growth and drive new business.
- Reporting directly to the founder (with support from marketing and product), this person will be the first point of contact for new customers — sparking conversations, booking meetings and building strong early relationships.
- You'll be focused on gyms, PTs, sports teams and physios, with the possibility to explore new routes to market (like influencers and their communities).
- It's a chance to get in early at a fast-growing tech start-up, learn the ropes of sales and have a direct impact on growth.
Day-to-day, you'll:
- Prospect and outreach to gyms, PTs, sports clubs and other performance/rehab organisations
- Qualify inbound leads and convert interest into opportunities
- Book and run intro calls / demos to showcase the product
- Support sales strategy with market research and competitor insights
- Test new sales approaches and help refine messaging as the company scales
What They're Looking For - At least 6 months in a sales or customer-facing role (SDR/BDR, retail sales, gym memberships, PT services etc.)
- Empathy and enthusiasm for the sport/fitness space — you might have trained, coached, or just live and breathe the gym
- Confident communicator (phone, email, socials) with resilience and drive
- Organised and target-oriented — motivated by activity and results
- Someone proactive, who takes initiative and isn't afraid to experiment to get results
The Setup - £26-28k base, with commission/bonus structure to be agreed during the process
- Hybrid working (3-4 days in a London office), with a close-knit, ambitious team
- Genuine opportunities to grow into senior sales or account management roles as the company scales
- Access to the product (and plenty of gym time to use it)
- The usual start-up perks — socials, responsibility from day one, and the chance to help shape something new
