This fast-growing analytics start-up is on a mission to turn customer sentiment into actionable commercial insight. Their product quantifies guest feedback from hospitality venues - analysing reviews across food, service and ambience - to benchmark performance and predict future trading trends.
Role overview They're looking for a smart, highly analytical Data Analyst to help integrate sentiment data with financial performance metrics and build forecasting models that can predict revenue shifts up to 12 months ahead. You'll be diving into real-world datasets, testing hypotheses, and helping the business strengthen its data-driven decision-making.
Note that this is a fixed-term project, likely to last 6-8 weeks, with no guarantee of extension beyond that.
What you're good at - Statistical and/or financial modelling
- Working with large datasets in Python, R, or similar
- Building clear, interpretable visualisations and insights
- Translating numbers into commercial meaning
- Communicating findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Self-motivation and comfort working independently on short projects
Bonus points for - A degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field
- Experience linking behavioural or sentiment data to financial outcomes
- Previous exposure to hospitality, private equity, or consulting analytics
- Curiosity about AI-driven data products and forecasting
