Unusual drinking spots

Flight Club

Whoever first thought to let drunk people throw pointy metal things at a wall was a genius. At Flight Club, the humble game of darts is taken to whole new levels. There are multiple games that even out the playing field and keep things competitive even if you are a beginner. If you’re looking for some friendly competition and keeping the team engaged away from the desk, here’s the place to be!

Ballie Ballerson

It’s an adult ball pit. Need we say more? Ballie Ballerson brings out the child in everyone, which makes things interesting with a work team. Get ready for some major nostalgic vibes and retro cocktails. It’s a great place to unleash your inner kid and appreciate your coworkers in a new light.

Bounce

Bounce is a great ping pong venue for the team to unwind after a hard work day. It fosters some healthy competition and  bit of physical activity after a day being sedentary at your desk . Worries that you’re not great with hand eye coordination? Don’t sweat it! Bounce has a for countless number of games to suit your mood that you can choose!

Bongo’s Bingo

Bingo is a classic form of entertainment, but Bongo’s Bingo is something else. Think traditional elements of bingo but with high energy dance-offs, intense rave intervals, hands-in-the-air anthems, general debauchery and quirky prizes! It’s a night that will guarantee maximum team participation.

Get competitive

Escape room

Imagine a group of people "locked" in a room for one hour...now during that hour, they have to find hidden objects, solve puzzles, and figure out clues to locate the key that will set them free. Escape rooms are a great way create a sense of trust and working towards a common goal.  A group that works together in these conditions often results in solidified teams. Each team will need to work on a deadline under pressure mirroring the work environment. It opens the door for healthy communication and boosts team morale and productivity as you think your way through clues and align on goals.

Karaoke

Karaoke is another great way to get your employees to break out of their shells and belt out some tunes. It can also reveal some interesting truths about your collegues' music taste (karaoke is not karaoke without a sufficient dosage of Britney). You can even have a contest for best group karaoke performance. Our personal fav is Lucky Voice, with locations across London.

Crazy golf

London has a couple of fabulously wacky crazy golf locations. Places like Swingers and Junkyard Golf Club take things to another level, with courses themed like lighthouses, abandonded fairgrounds and blockbuster mash-ups. Another plus side: most people can manage to hit a ball! (disclaimer: most...not all...)

Bowling

Why not take it back to the days of a primary school birthday party and hit the lanes? Bowling is a fab group activity, and anyone who's hand-eye co-ordination is wanting can always put the gutter protection on. Rowan's in Finsbury Park has DJs and pizza directly to your lane, as well as alcoholic slushies. Literally what are you waiting for?

Laugh it all off

London is renowned for it's incredible live comedy scene, which hosts not only some of the biggest names in comedy, but also some brilliant upcoming names! Moreover, it's well known that laughter is a fantastic tool for bringing people together and letting off stress. Here are some of our picks at some top London venues.

Soho Theatre

In the heart of, you guessed it, Soho, you can find plenty of big name comedians performing their shows. At the moment, most shows are transfers from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and so are extra polished. We recommend Sophie Duker: Venus (as seen on Mock The Week) and Desiree Burch!

2Northdown

This intimate venue in Kings Cross boasts a very exciting calendar, with weekly compilation shows such as Mic Check, The Good Friday Show, and Berk's Nest. You can find top comedians testing out new material, or new comedians making waves. We recommend Canned Laughter Karaoke Roulette and Ania Magliano & Alice Brine's work in progress (Ania is our marketing executive and definitely not editing this blog post).

Angel Comdey Club

Spread across The Bill Murray and The Camden Head, Angel Comedy Club has a has free comedy every night of the week ranging from work-in-progress shows from the likes of Rob Delaney to roast battles. Things might get a bit rowdy, but you'll have a brilliant time.

Brave the great outdoors

Picnics

Embrace the warm weather that summer has to offer! There are some stellar places around London to sit down and get some rays under a picnic blanket with some great food. Research suggests that employees who often eat together have better group job performance than those who eat individually.

Be a tourist

Embrace your city! Why not see bits of London or grab a snack and a walk around. Pick a hot tourist destination and go as a team. Why not try Party Bike? It’s a multi person bicycle attached to a bar that allows a team to tour around London, socializing, bicycling and downing some drinks. It'll be fun be a tourist in your own city, and you might even learn something new or take in a local attraction you’ve been meaning to go to.

Kayak down the Thames

Nothing says team building and trust quite like trying not to end up in the Thames. Take advantage of the outdoors and fresh air and grab a paddle and head down to the river for a great summer outing. Try Moo Canoes where you can rent kayaks and canoes. Rent multi-person boats and pair individuals up with people they don't usually work with, by the end of it you’ll see a whole new level or trust and camaraderie between canoe-mates.

Axe-throwing

We all know the feeling. After a really tough day at work, there's nothing you want more than to throw something. Axe-throwing at venues like Whistle Punks can satisfy your need to sling axes and unload some stress while coworkers cheer you on.
